Arts and Crafts was an international design movement that flourished between 1860 and 1910, especially in the second half of that period, continuing its influence until the 1930s. The distinctive window-pane pattern, originally known as Bastile, was designed by Pacific Hardware of Los Angeles around 1912. Made from solid brass material. Classic design. The term "Palladian" comes from Andrea Palladio, a Renaissance architect whose work inspired some of the greatest buildings in Europe and the United States, most notably in the buildings designed by Thomas Jefferson, including his own home, Monticello. The classic Palladian shape is a central semicircular arch flanked on each side by strong rectuagular pillasters. Displayed with our Netropol Knob. All finishes are hand-rubbed and assembled is USA.
